Default Help Get Me Home

hello
need help

looking at buying a freelander with ird failure, problem is its 130 miles from home.
the seller says it drives ok below 60 mph then you get a knocking sound.

i have a good ird so the question is will it be ok to drive it back???? or will it be ok to remove the prop whilst i'm there and drive it back then (propless)?
dont want to pay the expensive recovery costs

cheers dean

wasn't looking at fitting the ird there, just needed to know if its ok to drive it back with failed ird if removed the prop.

just looked at some of the mondo treads one was 14 pages long lol cant read that much.

i think from what i did read its ok to drive it.

Just remove the prop and strap it to the roof rack, Its a bit big to fit inside the hippo, it will fit but your seats will look a right mess afterwards. Plenty of sheets to keep the crud off

i do have a recovery truck but it will take it over the 3.5 limit so thought it would be easier to drive it back if it dont cause anymore damage.

not in any recovery dont like spending money lol
