hi my handbrake is holding fine when on a slope facing backwards but forwards i have to give it 2 - 3 more clicks to hold ive stripped the brakes and everything is free and working mot this afternonn so fingers crossed has anyone else got the same issues

Yep I have the same problem. It helps a bit if you jack up the rear wheel so it rocks freely with your hand. It does not move much about and inch either way. There is a rubber grommet on the back of the drum and when you take that off up should see, just a serrated wheel. Give that a few turns and rock the wheel back and forth till the brake just bites then back it of a notch. Do same on both sides. I found it help a bit. I have to park in a hill facing down and when doing that job I did not have to play around with the hand brake to bite. Plus I also put it into gear to be on the safe side :).

Good stuff. Usually as long as the front brake are working well it will pass. As they can't test the brakes on the rollers. They put a gadget on the dash and take it for a spin and brake a few time. If the gadget says ok your brakes have passed :).
