Freelander Towbar Fitting Instructions

The tow bar harness plug is under the LH side boot trim, which is where the towing module is situated.

PDC is a multi vehicle term for Parking Distance Control (reverse sensors).
CJB is the main body module, often referred to as a BCM (Body control Module) in other vehicles.
The CJB needs JLR SDD, or other diagnostic equipment to program it to add towing capability.
You don't need to have the CJB programmed, but the PDC will give you a warning that something is behind the vehicle, whenever reverse is selected and the trailer is attached, which can be annoying.

Not got a posh fl2, but did read that once in reverse the steering wheel volume turns it down, if it is too annoying!

I didn't know that, but I'll investigate.
The cruise control + & - buttons alter the HDC speed, which is very handy.

my freelander 2 doesn't have reversing sensors. so does that mean i can just plug the towing module into the freelander and the tower electrics into the towing module and I'm good to go?

Yes. If you don't have PDC, then there's little point in programming the CJB for towing electrics.

You just need the towing module, and it should work ok.
