1999 2.0 doosil.
Started up roughly but ran ok.
Leccy sunroof packed in and wouldn't open. (told common and arm and leg to fix)
Very thirsty.
Rear tyres started to thrupenny bit which I was told that the rear axle (or diff?) was on it's way out.
Rear boot cubby box not big enough to lock my shotty in.
Apart from that ok.
Frightened that something was going to go wrong I traded it in fer a P38 Rangie.

235 voters and 100 thread replies , its impossible to determine which votes were genuine.

Still thanks everyone for the input

As expected, the petrol engines showed issues, as did the Td4.

L-series diesel came up trumps.

Highest problems are with the with transmission. This is a cumulative total in that it collectively covers, gearbox, IRD, prop-shaft, VCU, rear-diff and and drive-shafts, In an ideal poll these would have been separate voting options.

cheap body fittings and Misc issues have also let the FL1 down.

Thank you NI for your efforts. Easy to be wise after the event and with hindsight we would have wanted model type, age and mileage to draw firm conclusions. Possibly some replied with an axe to grind whereas those with no problems didn't bother. ( Not wanting to tempt fate in my case!)

surely those with no faults wud be unlikely to post in a faults poll? but then again yu could argue that those with a huge number of faults would be either too embarrassed to vote - or would no longer have a hippoo and therefore wouldnt be looking on here anyway?

lies, damn lies & statistics eh?

[quote=The Mad Hat Man;624567]surely those with no faults wud be unlikely to post in a faults poll?

But they do, I even came across a post in the above thread which simply stated 'ouch agin (sic)'.

Nice to hear from you again Mad Hat, by coincidence yesterday I came across your postings regarding your V6 problems on the MG-Rover Org site. Hopefully your Nissan is behaving in a more satisfactory manner.

Ditto both our TD4 and V6. (fingers crossed!)
Do I need the 'How to Post' ? Any suggestions to improve my internet abilities gratefully received.
