done a quick search on here and cant find owt about it.

Is this series still ran? the freelander challenge website seems to be a bit out of date is all.

this looks like a doddle to make a rally car or is it just me being a spack *99% sure its the latter!*

only issue would be a navigator... my mrs seems to think that telling me to turn after a corner has passed is the way to go?

Yep, PG1 gearbox won't last long in a rally situation :(. But then nothing does, that's why a rally season is fooking eggspensive no matter what you're driving !

I dont mind. I showed the mrs some videos and even she was excited and asked if she could drive! *fook that i dont want to die!*

ive been given the go ahead to alter the freelander with the required mods :) Just have to wait till the 110 is on the road first.

We are going to pykes peak to april to watch the first of the 2013 series and i will investimigate and see what mods are required. Dont know much about the freelander so will need to learn sharpish!

Also figured i might as well make parts for the freelanders as well as the defender for my business?

Its comparitively cheap racing with the limited mods allowed. And simple cheap racing is always the most fun because if you crash and wreck it, its not too much of a grinding teeth moment.

Means ill have to spring for a new VCU mind!

In adition to the usual Land Rover tool kit of WD40, gaffa Tape and hammer you'll be needing petrol and matches ;)

I'd ask Ming n Hippo's advice ;)
Take a laptop with ya, than you can post questions in the Gaylander section

n we can all have a laugh :D :D :D

Sounds like fun though :) well jel :)

Doubt you will get too many takers for Freelander rallying - most of us are pleased if we get to the shops and back in one piece:)

I could be wrong.

at the moment i do tell her to check the water level before she takes the kids to school... whilst at school and when she gets back... And it has to be topped up on most openings of the bonnet! 4 miles per ltr!

Hoping to sort out quite a few jobs on it this weekend though. then ill start a project fred.

:hysterically_laughi

make it so number 1 ;)

In the Federation we have no concept of money, and all Land Rovers are permenantly fixed (yes Land Rover is still going in the 22nd century, the Klingon buyout saved it) but we came back in time to save the earth and then bloody Ming and Porky stole our warp core and now I have to PAY for Freelander parts while we're stuck here !

It's intolerable!

Ming only finks he has our warp core it is, in fact, a wrap core and an unstable one at that. (Porky can't spell:doh:)
