Studied the site which gave me the confidence to change clutch master and slave cylinders. All straight forward despite Haynes giving it a 3 spanner!!

Very nearly there except now seriously ****ed off. Can't get the stupid clip on the end of the push rod from master cylinder to go over the pin on the clutch pedal. Not enough room. Is there an easy way rather than 'effing and swearing at the blood thing and blaming LR for ****ing me off. Gonna have a cup of tea to calm down. Thanks Graham

Thats the difficult bit! I seem to remember when I did one using something to lever it on with? or can you get a pair of water pump pliers in to squeeze it on? Good luck.

Thanks tonyt37

Well, the actual job took about 5 hours. 20 minutes to take the old cylinders out, 25 minutes to put the new cyclinders in. 2 hours 'issing about with that %?/0^$£ clip. 20 minutes tea break to calm down. 45 minutes take dog for walk to calm down bit more. 45 minute lunch break. Last 30 minutes, done it.

This is how I got the plastic clip on the end of the rod from master cylinder onto the pin on clutch pedal:-

Clutch pedal same level as brake level and straped them together.

Lot's of fiddling with the clip to get it lined up, quick flick and presto seated nicely then press together with forefinger and thumb and it clicks and the tabs lock it on.
On reflection reminded me of when I was a teenager, fumbling with clasps!!!!!!!!!!!!! On those ocassions trying to take them apart.

Glad I can laugh about it now. Wasn't laughing earlier
