Default Freelander 1 - Side Step "Brackets"

The brackets for my side steps (STC7940) have rotted away. They bolt onto the steps so does anyone know if these can be purchased separately and if so where from?

I know there is a fitting kit available but that just contains the bolts and rivnuts. I must be honest as I haven't checked with a LR dealer yet and will give them a call tomorrow...I bet if they are available then it'll be for a silly price. The other option of course is to get some made.

I've been looking for the exact same thing for ages. Asked on here and nobody had any spare. Still not found anyone who sells them or fabricates them. Land Rover told me I would have to buy the complete unit including steps. Any budding fabricators out there could make a killing on the brackets.

Everything can be made - pop what you have over to a local welder fabricator there are loads around - check out local industrial estates that have breakers or lorry repairs or even agricultural repairs
