I was thinking of getting a roof rack so I can fit some spot lights to it, however, as I'm spending all my money on other things I thought to myself, maybe I could fit some spot lights to my roof box?

The good thing about my roof box is it fits all my gear inside it and it keeps it all dry. Why would I want to change it for a roof rack?

Maybe its a silly idea, maybe its already been done, but I'm going to give it a go and see what it looks like :)

you're going to fit spot lights directly to your roof?

How?

I was going to make an attachment than bolts on the the underneath of the front of the roof box.

40 inch Led bar. Gonna be fitting it with the brackets it comes with. Have to drill a hole for the wire loom. Ill have pictures up by tomorrow if you like.

I'm very interested in your hole

I've got an on going roof rack project rumbling away in the background (nearly ready to fit) and inspite of reading 100's of threads on the topic I haven't really found a satisfactory way to get the loom through. Well I say satisfactory, I should say a way that I like!! So yes, pictures please...........

all of them are in my thread , but OK :p

How did you manage to do that? Really interested now lol. Only way i see yo possibly fit it through is on The sunroof.
I think he went out via the plastic around the rear window and along the gutter under the plastic trim on the roof, needs twice as much cable but no holes

Well I started on this thread being interested in someones hole, now it appears that some blokes back door has grabbed my attention............

Liking the entry point via the trim at the top of the rear door. Just wondering about water ingress as it's more or less vertical with no visible means of a seal?? I've seen it done similar in photos on the three door but not the five. As the power cable is at the back of my roof rack this would be ideal.

Looks like its going through the rubber "grommet" for the tail door wiring.

Thats what I thought it was ;)
