I have a right hand drive freelander 2.0 diesel that was fitted with the aircon compressor fitted by the factory but nothing else.

I know i need the pipes from the compressor under the bonnet, but what else do I need from my donor?

can the dash stay in or does it have to be removed to fit??

p.s.....

I already have a donor, just want to know which bits I need to rob off it and whats involved with fitting?

Compresor, dryier with switch, condenser, evaporator, thermostat, Aircon box, harness, switch panel, ECM, relay pack

Christ, that much. Does the dash need removing to fit all this?

where is the BCM located? Is it possible for land rover to enable this on my existing one?

Best answer to anyone trying to do a job like this is.........

If you have to ask.... Sell the vehicle and buy one with the spec that you want.......

The only exception to this is if the vehicle is priceless to you, (was Ya granddads. Etc) was never offered with it as an option and you can't buyone with it on and money is no object..

If you don't need to ask if it is doable. Then you have either more money than sense, or time and money is not an issue.....

its a right hand drive camel freelander. one of 12. none were fitted with aircon. so i am trying to find out just whats involved before i decide whether to bother stripping the required parts out of a donor with aircon that i have.

Personally, I'd not bother. It's way more hassle to retrofit AC than its worth.
I can't imagine the compressor will be any good anyway after 15 years of inactivity.
