fault code, boost valve sensor

i have had an engine management light come on and the fault code reading is boost valve sensor ? has anyone come across this before,and any advise on fixing and clearing the fault.many thanks

Have a search under turbo boost pressure valve, it's connected to the turbo via a small rubber pipe...Often it causes a lack of speed/ pressure - There's a sticky on here... Td4 Lack of power at 70mph - fixed ! it should throw some light on it

Bought sensor, after removal found wires were damaged, soldered wires running sweet as a nut again...thanks for the advise.. P's I have a spare boost solaniod if anyone needs one

also keep a check on the vacuum hose that fits onto it they some times ware thin and then it does not work. as it has a hole in it
