Hallo
Just bought a Freelander 1, 1998 1.8 - 150000 miles. I got a lot of sounds when accelerating and I my best guess is that the engine mountings are done. I have been searching a lot about this, and it seems rather difficult to find the exact ones. I almost sure there are three mountings - one in front near the timing belt, another lower mounting in the opposite end, and a third supporting the IRD.
Is this correct and can anyone help with links to websites selling these products in a good quality.
many thanks

You are correct. There are 3 mounts. 2 take the engine/ transmission weight. The lower mount is more of a tie bar. These often go soft. They are easily changed. Some folks, me included use Rover 200 Polyurethane bushes as they last much longer.
