Might be worth taking the sender unit out of the top of tank to have a look in there, not unknown for the pick up pipe or gauze filter to get blocked/restricted with slime.

Ok so another update, took to LR specialist, fault showing on box of tricks was fuel rail pressure sensor so was replaced but still have the problem !! They will have the car over the weekend to go through the fuel system, my question is if the turbo vanes were sooted up would this cause the fuel pressure alarm ? If not what else could it be, crap in the system ? The wiring loom to the fuel sensor as they only replaced the sensor ? Help !!

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would quickly update, not good news and I am now utterly frustrated !

The independent has checked the fuel flow LP side and says all is OK, I have a new pump and filter under the wheel arch and now a new fuel rail pressure sensor and updated harness and I still have issues which appear to be getting worse. Where I could drive the car gently and get away with it, I am now getting the light on at lower rpm and cuts out a lot more, its nearly undriveable. The garage says it can only be the HP pump at fault, any one else care to comment before I go down that route. I am taking it into a diesel specialist tomorrow morning if I can get it there, it does seem to be more of a cut out issue when the engine has warmed up if that means anything. Hopefully they can help me tomorrow. The fault code still coming up is P1190, and thats been consistent from the start with a snapon diagnosis box of tricks

Thanks

Thanks all for your input, car is now sorted and running sweet, diesel specialist diagnosed the HP pump straight away and had one on the shelf, picked the car up this morning and flying again, it's been a painful experience and put a dent in the old wallet but at least most things that could have gone wrong in the future have now been replaced !!!

Cheers all, and still love the FL :)
