EGR cannot be removed.

Hi All

I know there are a lot of post about EGR but I could see if anyone had asked this one yet.

I cannot remove the EGR and cooler from my L series engine as the Allen Key slots are so corroded. I have however removed the pipe which comes off the cooler and sends the recycled exhaust gases back to the inlet. So I have fitted the 2 blanking plates there does anyone see a reason that this may cause a problem. All working fine at the moment just wondering if anyone had done this?

?? just pull the vac pipe off the valve and it doesn't work anymore. if your worried about the pipe being off...stick a ball bearing up the pipe and fit it back on to the valve.

Cheers EeEk so if I remove the vac line as well all should be good. I have already fitted the blanking plates so will just do that as well.

You need to block the vacuum pipe. Not remove it.
