My Freelander arrived bright and early this morning!! I organised transport on Wednesday afternoon - I'm pretty impressed especially as there has been a busy holiday weekend. That driver must have left pretty early to get here at 9.30! that's about 450 km.

On first viewing all is pleasing. It comes with: LR roof bars, LR driving lamps on the LR A bar, LR rubber floor mats, LR load area tray, LR T/B - even the handbook and service history are there!!

The C/locking works as does the rear door / window. My look at the engine and I can see that the cams are out of sync', one by 180º.

The cam belt cover is a treat to look at - normally there are in 2 parts but this on is in 4! - and they said there was no smoke / noise...!

Pictures below.

Now a couple of questions: Emergency Key Access Code - how do I go about finding what that is? It's not recorded in the handbook... and could be useful.
I have the key numbers and the wheel lock nut

Traction control: I'm assuming that this is fitted as new but how can I identify that as being correct? 'excuse my ignorance.

HTR:)

If it has HDC, it should have traction control......looks tidy for the age. Land Rover dealer should supply the code for manual unlocking. :)

If you find a old rover 200vi in a scap yard it uses the same cam cover ,I'm sure would be a cheaper way of getting one than one from a main dealer
