Drivers Window Regulator

Hi, haven't been on here for a while however hoping someone may be able to help me. My Drivers front window regulator has broken. It's the usual problem, snapped cable. Years ago I purchased a kit from e-crofting for repairing these. Does any body know how long the cables should be. The instructions from e-crofting say not to measure the broken ends but I think that will be my only way if nobody knows. Many thanks.
