diesel crankshaft m47

Hello,

can someone please help me, im looking for a crankshaft for my bmw, im not 100% sure of the one i want but i am told they are fitted into the bmw m47 engine which is also fitted to the freelander as the m47r

i believe the engine code im after exactly is M47B20 not D20 and defonatly not the Tu engines.


The crank is 88mm stroke, its got quite a long nose on the front, it has also a step on it for the oil pump drive, and its this that fits into a bmw m44 engine to make it 2100cc



can anyone shed any more light onto this and also where can i get one!!!

have a good look on ebay and email the places that are scrapping them

been on ebay loads looking!


i think the enigne maybe the td4 but not sure.

same engine in rover 75 as well

yes been looking, i bought a 75 engine and it was the wrong crank, there must be a few types, there is a type with a short nose and no oil pump drive...





the crank i want is the one on the right!
