Hi all

I have got a Landrover freelander td4 2.0 mk1 , I have changed all the filters, cam breather, oil, cleaned egr valve, This car is giving me white smoke, I have been reading a lot, many are suggesting that the turbo has gone, After I have done all the cleaning and filter change I get less white smoke, i mostly get it now when I go above 2000 revs.

Would anyone please kindly suggest anything? has the turbo gone? even thought when I rev it sound that the turbo is going around, when on the road there is no power, car is not pulling like all tdi's do, accelator fully and engine makes noise but still does not pull fast

can anyone please suggest anything

thanks.

Pull the injectors and test them. Sounds very much like one or more of them is faulty.

thanks for your quick reply martin, I did take all of them out, and cleaned them, but i guess I don't know how to test them, i have unpluged each one for testing but i don't think that is proper test,

when you pull them out they should be a little bit diesely shouldn't they? those was very dry the tip of the injectors were dry

You need to have them tested by a specialist. Wire smoke can be a sign of incomplete combustion caused by faulty injectors amongst other things
