Hi all, whilst I was having the aircon sorted yesterday the guy mentioned the possibility of stones flying up through the wide gaps in the front grille area and smashing into the aircon rad, he recommended some kind of mesh be installed between the rad and the grille to stop any stones hitting said radiator, clearly a cheap option could be chicken wire folded over to make smaller holes but does anyone know of a purpose made after market item to do the job which would look good as well?

I once had a bolt that came of the back of a flat bed lorry and it went though the rad but in between the core that was a luck escape.

On my '03 R25 I plastic welded [with my trusty soldering iron] plastic leaf mesh used in spouting systems. It's a diamond pattern, holes are about 6mm across, black and it doesn't show either.
