Currently on the look out for a 4x4 got the chance of a freelander 1.8 petrol
it has had the head gasket done with new spacer plate ,
the rest of the spec is there is a 3" lift kit to go on ,off road tyres and the bearing in the gearbox are also going to be done.
I will be using this for green laning due to me having a busted spine so can really do bonkers off roading apart from a fuel tank guard any other tips of kit needed ?

Cheers Gerry

You might want to reduce the lift kit to 40-50mm. 75mm is a bit silly on the Freelander and you may not get everything to line up properly.

Mine has a 40mm lift and oversize tyres. Also has rock sliders.

My little Freelander now has about the same ground clearance as a standard Defender...... but it doesn't have the height so it doesn't hit so many tree branches, and the sides taper in, so less chance of hitting the side on telegraph poles on the side of green lanes (see my videos in my thread)
