Hi. My 2001 Freelander has got those dreaded 3 amber lights for ABS TC and HD. I read the post on the "3 amigo's" and set about to fix the problem of the brake light switch.

i removed the switch, pulled the plunder out, got my wife to press the peddle, and i installed the switch again. It clicked a couple of times (think to adjust it's self) so i took her for a spin. got down the road and the lights went out, turned and came back up the road and the lights came back on. So to make sure that it wasn't just luck i tried it again, this time the lights didn't go out.

If i leave my landy on a hill for a while though and start it the brakes are stiff and not that effective but the lights go out for a while. I checked the ABS sensor rings on all fours to see if they were loose or turning freely but they aren't.

I was wondering if anyone else has had or has the same problem and if someone knew how to sort the problem, do i just need a new brake light switch? or is there something else wrong?

Yea adjusted it to Rave instructions but still the lights. Got a new switch and wiring connector today and the lights went out for about 20 miles then came on again. Any other suggestions??? I am running out of ideas other than it has an electrical fault (short or bad earth)
