Hey guys, hope all is well.
Recently bought a freelander 2 2009 TE4 e, loving it but want to replace the radio as its the base model has no bluetooth. So looking at replacing it.

I have a couple of questions but if anybody as any advice/hints/tips would be greatly appreciat it.

1: Can I put in any radio? Herd that part of the cars system check on the 2009+ models is the radio. So need to be original.

2: also how do disassemble the dash??

Thanks in advance

Lowline Audio doesnt have any MOST so that shouldnt be an issue. If there is no touch screen display, you shouldnt have to worry about fiberoptic comms bus.

Taking the current radio out is a 2minute job really. The top speaker trim in the middle of the dash, pulls up from the back. The rubber mat pulls up. Undo the 6 exposed T20 screws. Then pull the entire front off from the bottom up.

There is another thread on this page about how to get around the PDC issue. If your car has pdc, then the audio tone is routed through the lowline audio system. If you dont have PDC, then this isnt an issue.

I dont know anything about aftermarket radios though :p

I did see a FL2 with a flip up screen type radio in it, no idea why a radio needs a flip up touch screen though :)
