Ok so i replaced both heads with reman's. Still got some ticking noise...I thought it was the lifters...Replaced those... Still ticking.... Now i hear the ticking from inside the upper intake manifold. I took it apart and i see a long stem with gears? And it has this number written on it

2900303459

But i was told by land rover the upper intake manifold is not serviceable and you have to buy the entire thing. $1200 for the damn thing.

Is it possible to find the part somewhere or anyone know the name of this part.
Its a long brown stem with 3 tiny balls sticking out on each side.

Like Vee8 says more info on model etc. makes it easier to help!
I'm guessing KV6 ?
If so there have been a number of threads on here re. some valve arrangement in the inlet manifold that wears and rattles a lot until it falls apart completely.
Some talk of using inlet manifolds from Rover V6 engines. Someone even had a go at fixing one.
Don't really remember much more as mine is a TD4.
Try searching KV6 manifold or just KV6 - it may help.:rolleyes:

Yes its from a KV6.
So the rover 75 manifold will work for me?
If so can you be more specific on what a 75 is? Or a part number?

Ok...It seems like they didn't have any Rover 75's in the USA.

Any other suggestions?

Hi, Give the forum a search.
Lots of info in a couple of threads in the last year or so re. what ones work and what to avoid.
Probably find a used one on Fleabay check the US shipping tho'.
Best of luck.
