as u lot well no i have a disco td5 03 reg
i have been post on here about power loss turbo not boosting loss off mpg
and one or 2 other thinks
it all comes down to the maf but y
i got a new maf about 3 months ago put the hawk eye to test and getting
58 to 60 reading on live data at idle
same test with pedal flat out 600

so u would think that with the Reading i got from the hawk-eye the maf would not be the problem of power loss mpg and lack off turbo

i took the disco to the person that did my remap and asked him to check my turbo thinking this was the problem
the turbo was fine and he could not see a problem with the turbo
i told him the Reading that i was getting from the maf so he left that for a bit
thinking it was fine he looked at one or two other things then said am going to unplug maf any way and give it a test drive

he then gave the disco some revs be for we went on a test run went down the road and i got power back

but y am i getting the normal reading from the maf with hawk-eye yet when it put in line disco runs crap

just something for you lot to think about

It's faulty, and it's fault is it looks fine but makes it run crap? Just a thought

Perhaps it is something else in the system?

Boost pressure sensor, I dunno much about td5 but I'm thinking generically.

When you unplug the maf the ECU goes into a preset open loop mode, it runs on standard values and manages ok.

When you plug in the maf it tries to run closed loop but there is something else that has failed, so you get a fault occurring.

Just a thought - it's your job to test EVERYTHING lol

just a quick response ....WHY if it aint broke are u try in to fix it ? whats wrong with keepin it std? fitting after market bits on the cheap to get 5% more power are impractical.. my 52 goes adequately well as std ....

its dropping power and mpg i no the feel of my disco and its a bit down y would i run somthing down in to the ground and not fix it?
