Hi
found a free black connector attached to headlight loom is this for driving lights or do i have to tap directly in to the wires?
Any advice here
Thanks

colour of wires would help on this, shape and exact location

tapping direct to wires and slapping 55w lamps on the end may mean wiring gets a bit warm and fuses going pop regularly

If you want driving (fogs I assume ) not "oh look I have a sports car as I have fog lights on in sunlight"
wire them up properly via a relay and ffs use them when its foggy

Is this for a Defender (in your Sig Pic.), or a Discovery (1 or II) - as this is the Discovery board

Neither the Defender or Discovery Looms have any extra wiring for Auxiliary Lamps pre-installed into them.

On a Defender - if the connector you've found is a 3-way connector, with Black, Red/Orange and Blue/Yellow wires going to it, then it's for the Headlamp Levelling Motor.

On a Discovery 1 and II - the Headlamp Levelling Motor connector wire colours are slightly different - Black, Red/Black and Blue/Yellow.
