after checking everything and coming to the conclusion my door actuator is fubar i took the plunge and ordered a new one on line..............one problem ....i'm crap at wiring.the new actuator has five wires coming from it and the only colour of the five i can match up is black.........
so if any one could advise i would be very grapefruit...
new actuator wire colours are black
blue
green
white
brown
the actuator im trying to replce is on a 300tdi es disco can anyone help me pleeeeeeaaaaseee:doh:

Land Rover only use 4 wires.
Blue and green goes to the orange and pink slave wiring in the door.
Brown or white only one is used goes to the brown-pink wire in the door.
Black is ground.
If the drivers door locks but the other four open the reverse the slave wires.
What colour goes to what colour of the Land Rover wiring I haven't a clue I just use a meter to match them up. :)

Thats it... you need to know frequency (Mz) that's printed on the lable, then you can get a new single button fob from the likes of Remotekey or a s/h one from eBay the program it to your system, it's a 'run a round' 8 second procedure releasing bonnet switch etc, it has been listed a few times in this forum or Google the web for the info then u will have remote central locking
