After suffering with a leak from along the top of my windscreen I had the windscreen taken out the driver-side roof attachment weld that had failed re welded .
The windscreen fitter reckons that the roof has been replaced or repaired at some time as the bonding back of the screen was difficult as there was to much of a gap where the screen met the top lip of the opening.
He told me that to get the screen to bond he had to keep it under a bit of tension by putting suckers on the inside and tying it to the front seats to hold it onto the bonding until it cured.
He also put extra bonding on the top edge under the windscreen finisher.
Tested it in a car wash and guess what it leaked worse.
I have had the sun roofs reseated and the drains checked out and don't have the headlining in at the moment no water appears except along the edge of the top windscreen frame.
He came back today and back sealed the top of the windscreen.
Tested in car wash it has just moved the position of the leak along to under the rear view mirror and the left hand top corner.
I am at my wits end has anyone any suggestions as the windscreen fitter says that it cant be the windscreen and the water must be getting in somewhere else.
