Bought a very nice auto TD5 with FSH with 80000 on the clock 4 months ago from a very nice lady called Mildred.:)
All was quiet then, Ive had the 3 Amigos up once,:(then the N/S/F window regulator failed:( , got that sorted, then the sunroof at the front went like a sieve:( , got that sorted and then had a windscreen leak:( , got that sorted, then on the wettest day of the year came, you guessed it the O/S/F regulator failed :mad:, got that sorted.

Now a funny one has cropped up,went back to start the car and turned the key but the engine didn't quite catch, turned the key again and the motior spins over really quickly(God forbid like the cam belt snapped) so I took the key out locked the doors then opened them again, moved the auto gearlever through all the gears and it fired straight up as usual.

Any ideas ???

Oh yeah , did the EGR removal and it made no or very little difference, then I did the decat ==== WOW is all I can say:)

thats nothink mate ive recently bought a disco td5 with 78,000 on the clock,

its had

new alternator
4Xecus
Complete engine harness
injector harness
fuel regulator
new battery
new xyz switch.

this is aswell as the off road modifications. i bought the disco 2.5 months ago for £4200 and including insurance ive spent £11,456 and insurance was only 700

td5s dont have cam belts ,sounds like your starter gear didnt catch with ring gear on drive plate,if does it regular can be a sign stater needs looking at if your lucky, egr is not for performance but prevents inlet side clogging up or egr failing and causing poor running
