Had the three amigos coming on intermitantly for the last few months, but I was able to switch off and restart to get rid of them. Last week I get the amigos back and they bring a friend with them, the red handbrake light and I can not reset. Also aware of a noise from the front offside. Strip down and the wheel bearing is knackered. Replaced the bearing and the ABS sensor. Get local garage to turn the fault lights off... jobs a good one. 500 quid later I am back on the road. Vehicle is as smooth as silk. Then the amigos come back. Handbrake, TC and ABS.. No sign of HDC. I can switch of and reset. Interestingly the ABS stays on untill I reach 5 MPH (Which it never did before ). So what have I missed ?/done wrong /etc.

Didnt they read the fault codes logged before they reseted them.... there is something more there beside the wheel hub issue. Read the code now... that's the best way to figure it out.... The "handbrake light" is also the brake warning light, it often goes together with the 3 amigos if a fault in the system is present(especially if EBD is affected, low brake fluid, etc.)

For what u say it could be a "throttle position signal failure" code logged or some signal corruption coming from the ECM to the SLABS ECU.... anyway these are suppositions, the best thing is to scan it.
