I have a disco II TD5 2002.
When driven around 30 miles I have to put in a litre of water, I've taken it back to the seller and they can't make it lose water. My friend who owns a ACH Landrovers in Lowestoft says its a head gasket, but the garage says there is nothing wrong with it.

Has anyone got any ideas of suggestions as its driving me mad.

Thanks

Look inside oil filler cap for White sludge like mayonnaise, if it has that then water is mixing with your oil which is more than likely a head gasket fail. Also I believe you can have the head pressure tested which should show any seal/ gasket failures. Hope this helps

Check dipstick for white sludge - if so its cylinder head. If not its more likely to be leaking elsewhere - could be a crack in the water pump, or elsewhere in the system, that may expand under pressure but closes down when not hot. I've had one like that. In which case watch for a leak - it will get worse and easier to spot
