VIN On Dash...

Hi All,
Just got a new (to me) dash from someone breaking their Disco. Its the same as my current one but just a lot cleaner! Had a look at it and it seems to have a VIN Number on there. If i replace my one with the new one means I'll have different VIN's in the car. Do I have to tell DVLA\VOSA\Plod (or anyone else) that I've done this? Or, is this something thats Ok to change over??

change it or leave it off,if poss get reciept,you only need 1 vin plate

its less hassle to just remove it i'd say.

if there was ever a situation where a new plate appeared to have been riveted on, it would be more suspicious than not having one at all

200 discos dont have them, for instance
