Vibration when i take my foot off the accelerator

Hi All
I have a 300TDi on a M plate, it drives fine but when i take my foot off the accelerator it vibrates (the whole front end), i laid under it today and looked for loose or worn joints and found the track rod could be rotated slightly. I also found the front prop rotated approximately 45 deg before meeting resistance, there was no play up or down though.
How do i check the swivel joints? i have visually looked at them and they look clean?

is there any play in the front prop uj?

I couldn't feel any up or down just the rotational play through the transfer box.

remove each prop in turn and drive in diff lock to narrow down,

I had same problem with 87 classic RR - turned out the wheel balancing was out by miles!

Same here,balancing.Had it on several vehicles,chased up suspension joints and all sorts.Worst ever had it was a rear tyre with a bulged wall on the inside....felt it on the opposite front corner!

By the sound of it more likely to be the swivel bearings.

Yes,with all the physical action,it does sound that way....I got a bit distracted....sorry,Nigel has a good point...start by looking here....
