Upping the power on a 300tdi disco p-reg

fitted egr blanking kit, just waiting for the weather to change so i can fit de-cat pipe( for those who would like to know using a couple of small lenghts of fish tank air hose with a small bolt and gasket sealer fits the vaccum hose and air filter box, so u do not suck in air, not supplied with the blanking kit), is there any other way of increasing the engine performance.

Bigger intercooler, up the boost and tweak the fueling will potentially give you more than EGR and de-cat. Worth bearing in mind the adage "go faster, wear out faster" and you'll never make it really fast

Better to just acept the fact that its never going to be a speed machine.As adz said the faster you go the faster its gonna wear out. Mines been de-cated and egr removed, and she runs fine and goes fast enough. You could try flushing the intercooler out with petrol, to removed all the crap thats built up inside.

turn the pump up, makes it a lot better,the turbo spins up so much faster but it will blow a bit more black smoke on acceleration and willl definetly fail mot on emissions but you can always turn it back for mot,google it should find out how to do it,lots you can adjust on them

thanks all, not after speed machine but just for pulling out in traffic slow until turbo kicks in, what about a different turbo, one that kicks in at lower rpms.

They are good but CANT be re-built if they fail.
