Hi All,

I have a 53 plate TD5 XS, anyone know if it is possible to turn the passenger airbag off.

Ideally want a rear facing child seat to go on the front seat but according to the manual it doesn't look like you can turn it off.

Is removing the fuse a possibility or will that also disable the Drivers Airbag.

Any help appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge there's no "official" way to turn off the passenger air bag. Pulling a fuse may well disable the drivers side one too.

Behind the passenger air bag unit there is an electrical connector which you could simply disconnect. That will disable the air bag but will, in all likeliness, cause the SRS light to stay on. This isn't a major problem and won't cause the vehicle to fail the MOT but you should inform your insurance company that you've disabled the system.
