transfer lever position L / H

hi all,

just got anotother disco 1 and just want to check im right in thinking theres a problem...

in noral driving I have the transfer box in the froward poition in "L" and when shifted to the back position "H" its in low range?

whats going on here or am I mixed up in low/high range meanings?

:hysterically_laughiH=HIGH L=LOW... H for normal driving.
 
:hysterically_laughi**** me... forward is low range , back to the seat is high range . carnt you tell by the engine screaming its tits off. whats going on is , you need to learn to read mate.... have you not looked at the diagram in the car , it tells you all about it....

if its in low when levers back it means some one fitted outer cam for linkage to the transfer box wrong way round on lever assembly ,you would need to remove consol and rubber gaiter to get to lever it has a pinch bolt 8mm spanner ,you remove and turn cam over and refit on which ever spline gives enough movement either way for both high and low
 
I am well aware of High and Low and as said the lever is in the opposite position to what it should be accordig to the diagram,

so its a simple case of flipping the cam on the lever?
