I have a 300tdi auto. Whilst crawling under it today greasing the joints and axels i noticed that there is oil dripping from the transfer box. So being under anyway i thought i would check the level as i have in another one. The only problem is it appears that whoever had it before has lock nutted the top up plug. I was using a 1/2 socket drive with w 24" breaker bar but can not move it. I have not used a hammer yet. The hand brake cable and electrics are a bit to close to use a blow torck to melt the glue. Any ideas on how the move the bolt with out causing to miuch damage or it there another way to top up/check.
