Hi, I have just bought a Disco 2 and have bought a second hand tow bar for it. Can anybody tell me the size/thread of the bolts required especially the rear ones for the upright plate. This also brings another problem, somebody before me has sheered a bolt that goes into the chassis at the rear plate- any ideas?
thanks-Bob

There are four bolts, two are M16 X 120 and two are M16 X 75, plus whatever holds the various parts of the towbar together, usually M14 X 30.

If you have one sheared off in the rear crossmember, that is going to be one a**ehole to get out.

Thanks for your reply Peter. The bolt seems almost impossible to get out as you say, I have tried drilling it with cobalt drills with no effect, do you think I could get away with the one bolt? even then the nut on the other end is rusty.
