Hi , Thought this happened before but thought it was my eyes playing tricks ,untill this time i saw it in full, i was trundling along at 50mph and looking at the rev counter ,the needle just dropped to zero and then bounced back to the normal postion. No actual rev loss and no speed loss and every thing as normal again, Is this going to develop into a major problem?
thanks ETR:confused:

Usually a bad connection on the alternator. Check the bottom spade connector give it a clean and push it back on and make sure its tight.

Like he said I had exactly the same problem a couple of months ago (for about a year !!) , the spade connector just needed a squeeze with some pliers to tighten them up.

Regular occurrence,so much so that I only bother to put it right when Im in there for something else.My old 200 used to do it on a certain slope and angle combo on the lane outside my house....but only leaving, never coming back.Spooky.

Seriously though, yeah, what he said that he said....etc
