I have just spent two days trying to get my Td5 disco going after the fuel filter housing started to spray diesel out were it had corroded (daft place for a filter!) I located a new housing from my local land rover specalist (very helpfull people) a genuine land rover part I might add but could not get the thing to bleed up. I finally removed the new part after removing one of the return pipes to find very little fuel coming back. I removed the four unions to check for a poss blockage but on comparing it with the old unit one of the new was in the wrong place. It looks like a non return valve ,thought thats not good . I rebuilt the housing as per the one from the vehicle and horray justb two purge sequences and she runs again. Please take this as a wrod of caution and double check even the things that you think should be correct. I have read several threads re non starting after changing parts of the fuel system. Hope this helps someone.
