Question,

Been doing a bit of searching on ebay and various places, there are loads of 200 / 300tdi S1 discoveries that are modified.

I found only a couple of TD5 that were slightly done up, I know the TD5 costs more that a S1 Disco but if that was the only reason there wouldnt be many Defender done up.

Just my semi random question, but maybe a vehicle I would think about in a few months - something that is comfy but I can still go out and play in.

Mine will be having a lovely FOR SALE sign in the window shortly :(

Just got to fix a few bits and get it a full MOT first (still got a few months on the current ticket, but, car for sale with 2 months V car for sale with 12. know what i'd be buying.

The D2 TD5 is an awesome off-road and on-road altogether imo.

They are starting to get modded now, as they get older and come more into the price range of an off-road toy.

been modifying mine for 3 years, and still ongoing. If you got to a Land Rover show you will see more than your fair share, and as more and more D1's rust away then more and more Disco 2's will be modded.

I have the Rangie at the moment but the Mrs says its to big!!!!!!

I fancied a defender but their money is holding strong so a good comprimise will be a D2 and mod it slightly.

Any one got any things to look out for, are the early ones or later ones better?
