Fuel blowing up side of an injector dumping fuel into the oil, oil level rising

Purchased the kit to replace O rings and copper seat, despite a thorough search I cant find any pics of injector removal on the forum. Has anyone done this on a TD5, and if so what tool did you use to remove the injector?

I know a special tool can be bought, but time is not on my side. Would a sliding hammer do the job to pull the injector straight out?

i made a tool from a 4 inch paint roller, i cut it 20mm past the 90' bend near where the foam roller goes then grind a taper onto the 20mm bend and you have a right angled pry bar, place where injector seats and gently lever, dont pull on the injector soliniod its fragile, when you put new seals and washers on make sure the seats are really clean otherwise they wont seal properly.

Once you have removed the camshaft coverplate and the rocker shaft you will be able to access the injector retaining bolts. Once they are undone, simply use a suitable sized allen key as a lever to lift the injectors out.

Hi there, I tried an allen key as suggested by someone else....but your idea with the paint roller worked brilliantly. Job done! Thank you

I heard somewhere someone suggested using one side of a pair of multigrips. undo the bolt holding both sides together and use the curved side to carefully lift them out.
apparently worked well

I eventually got them out with the paint roller. The injectors are quite well 'seated' so I slid the hook of the paint roller under the metal part and gave the handle quite a few whacks with a hammer; this did work and got them moving and enabled me to lift them of with the angled part of the paint roller or just by hand
