Trying to get the fan off my TD5 Disco.
Got the right spanner. Left hand thread. Good whack with a hammer. Will not shift.
Anyone got any tips?

2nd question. Assuming you are changing the clutch by pulling the box out from underneath, is there any significant difference between a Disco 1 and a Disco 2? Been quoted £1300 to do a TD5 clutch which even though it includes a dual mass flywheel seems a bit steep. Explanation being that it is an extremely complicated job. Clutch care centre quote £440 excluding the flywheel.

I didn't bother with the right spanner, just used a cold chisel.
I've been assured it's R/H thread.
As for the 2nd Question, I'll let you know, just had mine changed by the local garage. I don't have the equipment or strength to do it myself. Will be receiving the bill shortly.
