Hi People

When driving home to-night at 60 MPH I had a misfire (lack of power)which lasted for about a second, about 5 min later I lost power and couldn't go above 3000 RPM, stopped, checked the fuel filter (no water present) checked the injector loom (no oil at the ECU), I limped home at 40mph but at tick over it sounded like not firing on all cylinders.
Last week end I had a leak from a plastic pipe above the fuel tank, the pipe marked green (it had rubbed through to a small hole) I repaired this with a compression fitting and when checking for any further leaks I noticed a pulse from the pipe (I presumed the fuel pump) on checking to-night I am not getting a pulse, can I presume that the pump is on its way out or is there an other reason for this, this is my daily driver (we live miles from the main road) so I need to find the problem ASAP, all help would be gratefully accepted.

Hi People

I am sure it is the fuel pump, I checked fuse F10 and the relay both fine, took out all the gubbins to get to the pump and with ignition switched on I am getting 12 volts between the black a white wire at the pump but no noise from the pump, (the one thats in has a date Feb 2009) so its not original, I have ordered a new pump and filter from Paddock's and will fit as soon as it arrives, I hope I am right. :)

Hi People

Fuel pump arrived and fitted same with new filter, it solved the problem but the pump is noisy and the sender unit is saying 1/4 tank when the tank is more than 3/4 full, I said in a previous post I purchased from Paddocks, this was wrong I got it from Rimmer, I have e-mailed them and wait there reply, has any one had this problem with any fuel pump before.
