TD5 Bushes - Checking and Replacement

Hello All,

I want to check all the bushes in my TD5 and have a couple of questions:

1) Can anyone point me to the location of all the bushes (Suspension and Body)?

2) Just how much play is normal or indicates they need replacing?

To locate the bushes simply look underneath and where a metal thing joins to another metal thing there is likely to be a bush There's quite a few of them and explaining where they all are would take for ever. If there is any play in them other than in the direction in which they are designed to allow movement then they are worn.

I had a quote for a full superpro bush kit at £398.73 and was quoted approx 8 hrs labour at £50 per hour all plus VAT(OEC International near Exeter). If its going to take OEC 8 hours with all their equipment I'm guessing a very full weekends work for a DIY.

I was also told it would transform the feel of the car - so worth doing I'd guess!

we fitted both the original poly bush kit and britpart yellow bush kit to a fleet of 110s pulling 2 ton trailer 1ton on back both performed well over last few years ,very easy to fit only needing hammer to fit steel tube through bushes, about £100 britpart £200 polybush,both made handling better

Hmm May be worth considering as a DIY then - when the weather improves ) - I mistakenly thought some of these needed `burning' out and would be difficult removal with fittings in place.

Some of them can be a bugger to get out but big hammer and a little ingenuity will get em shifted.

There are bushes at > shock's, panhard rod, sway bar(mount), anti roll bars, top and bottom watts link, ends of watts linkage arms, radius arms, stering damper.........that's what i can recall for now.

on the front radious arm, i have managed the two fron bushes, but the rear one is a bugger, is there a metal sleeve to push out once old bush removed?
