Swivel ball drag setting

Hi all, going to replace one of my leaking swivel balls this weekend, can anyone tell me to set the drag a spring pull is mentioned. Is this the same as a spring scale as in what fishermen use to weigh their catch. Any advice most welcome.

It is the same tool to measure the drag, but you should be aware that some sources quote the drag weight with the scrapper oil seal in place and others don't.

From memory the figures are with oil seal in place 6-7kgs, without it in place, 2-3kgs.

as long as it will do 2lbs it will do without rear swivel seal bolted in ,no more like series or pre 300 tdi defender as disco has 2 x brgs early def had 1 x brg and rialko bush and pin

dont preload more than 2lb as it will cause premature brg wear
