Hi,

I have just fitted a new output seal set, it has stopped the leak which was my goal in readiness for the MOT.

I removed the output shaft to get the old seals out, put the shaft back in and then fitted the seals.

Now its back on the Landy and has heavy steering to the left and normal to the right. It has been bled correctly, no bubble, new fluid etc.
But it seems that there is no power steering going left, but it is ok going right. The hoses are on the right way round, no leaks and the pump is ok, pushes lots of fluid out when bleed nipple is open. It was centralised correctly when refitted. Every thing is ok, except no power to the left.

Any suggestions to why this might be happening and how to fix it.

Regards

bleeding isnt reall necessary as it has return pipe, was box ,how many turns from one lock to other and is center half the turns,is it over tightened ,when refitting shaft did you get correct tooth aligment with rack and there is a pad that pushes on rack with adjuster on out side of box secured with grubscrew, that can get dislodge if rack moves away from side with sector shaft out
