Have a V8 Disco 1, 3.9 EFi and it will not turn over. :mad:

So far I have done the following;

1: Ensured the Idle Stepper Motor is Working and Clean
2: Replaced the starter (was having solenoid issues too)

I'm thinking start inhibitor switch on the ZF Auto gearbox.

Can anyone give me any tips on tesing or temporarily by passing the switch to ensure it is this before replacing. :confused:

Or - have any of you got any other ideas on possible problems to diagnose. :confused:

Thanks in advance :D

thanks for replying

Think the immobiliser is working ok as the security key symbol light on the instrument panel does go out ok. I'm also sure I can hear a relay clicking as well, presume this is the starter relay.

Wasn't sure you could bridge the inhibitor or not - is this simply an open switch then? Rev lights still working fine.
