Does anyone know how to get this little bugger out??

Also does this item have any service limits?

I am in the process of replacing the clutch, as I brought a complete kit, but cant see how this comes out?

I have opted for the gearbox removal method - moved back just enough room to remove the clutch but not enough to get a slide hammer in there!

Any Ideas Anyone???

Thanks,

Ian

I always remove them the same way - get an old first motion shaft (as you would use to center clutch) or something circular that is a good fit in the spigot bearing.
Then pack grease into the spigot bearing followed by the shaft etc .
Then strike the end of the shaft as if you were forcing it into the spigot bearing - the grease will then push out the spigot bearing.
Worked for me every time - your problem may be that you can't strike the shaft properly because the gearbox is quite near you .

As dooroy!

So simple when you know how!

While you are at it put a strong tie clip to hold slave cylinder push rod onto clutch lever (prevents dreaded clip breaking if you ever have to change your slave cylinder and push rod dropping off) also make sure that silly plastic retainer dunt drop off clutch bearing!

Good luck!

Thanks, I'll give this a try, I'll have to find a shaft with a good fit.

I was a little concerned when I tried the new spigot bearing on the shaft as there seems to be a little play between the two. ant see the shaft wearing though??

Thanks, For your help.

What ever you use or adapt to get spigot bearing out you can use/adapt to line your clutch plate up.
Once you get old bearing (bush realy) out you should notice that new one is a tighter fit than old one.

Dont forget to put a BIT of high melting point grease in it that you should have got with your clutch kit.

Any idea of the ID of the spigot bearing / bush. I am at work at the min and may be able to find something here.

I already have one at home, just wondered if any one knew the ID (internal diameter) of the bush, as I may be able to find a shaft in the workshop at work.
