Some older radios used to have to be left turned on for a given period of time, before you could enter the correct code. It may require you sitting with the car for a while with the power on to the unit.

SP ;)

As you don't say what head unit you have it's difficult to give advice, but if you have the unit that's also the CD multi player controller then for the code to time out of the delay period the unit needs to be powered.. then when the delay has lapsed the word CODE will reappear.
So DON'T disconnect the supply as mentioned above.
The time delay starts at 2mins then 4 then 8 and so on depending on the number of times you have entered the incorrect code.

If u have a CATS unit then just press and hold the BND button for three seconds and then enter the correct code.

Hi,

The unit has three number on it, serial number of car, then these:

22dc710/61L
9022217/0614
31111531751

Its a multi changer unit on an R(97) disco XS

Ok spud then it looks something like this one, all you can do now is drive around untill CODE appears in the display, how long will depend on the number of times you entered the incorrect code :)
