speedo and fuel gage problem ?

on the odd occasion the speedo had stopped working, and started working again next time i drove, happened like 3 times in 2 months, but last cple of days its been worse, and today its stopped ..when driving randomly it decides to kick in for a few seconds and moves wildly up n down then stops again, and the odometer has also stopec clocking up the miles ?

and the fuel gage appears to now be stuck ,turn engine off/on and it stays the same


any ideas ? i dids think i just need a new speedo cable, yet im a bit puzzled why the fuel gage has also stopped ?

its still under warranty so il get it sorted, just wanted opinions/advice on what it is likley to be ?

It will be hard to emit any oppinions if we dont know what modell and year is your disco

its a 1997 es discovery 1 !

it decided to work fine all as normal today when i got in it, for 5 mins, then died again, could it just be a loose connection at the back of the instruments or something ?

If it's under warranty then I wouldn't bother

When you fond out what the problem is can you post the answer so that those of us without a warranty but the same Disco can solve the issue when it hit us

well it would of perhaps been nice if anyone had came across that issue or knew about it, could of just helped me out so i could of maybe got a mate to sort it quick today or tomorrow
