I need to replace the bolt on legs/fittings for my sidesteps as they have rusted through.Have tried a few suppliers but no one willing to supply legs only, that is just the ones who actually replied to my enquiries.
Or do I make them with what looks like 1/1.5" square tube, cut off the old clamps and reweld to new tube.
Thoughts please.
Thanks

I bought a pair of side steps which came without supports. I got round it by cutting a bit of box section to length and welding a nut inside the end for the step to bolt to and a bolt sticking out the other end which goes into the hole in the chassis. I didn't secure the chassis end and they have never been a problem.

Oh no. Just last weekend, I chopped of these with an metal cutting disc! I made a right mess of them, no use to anyone. If only it had rained last weekend, you might have been able to have the lot, brackets and all.
Now they've all gone for recycling.
